What Is ySense

ySense is a GPT website that allows users an opportunity to make money online through paid surveys and online tasks. The platform was established in 2007 and has been around for over 10 years and is one of the better known ones. This is usually a good sign when determining the credibility of an online money-making platform. It used to be called ClixSense and changed name to ySense in 2018.

How to sign up for ySense

To get started on ySense you all you need is an email address to sigh up with and an account with one of the payment methods that ySense uses to pay. Currently, for people outside of the US and Canada ySense pays through PayPal and Skrill. They no longer offer Payoneer as a payment method so in order to cash out you will have to sign up for one of these payment methods. You can sign up for ySense here.

Signing up is a quick process that takes less than 5 minutes. As soon as you have signed up they will send you a verification email for your account and you just have to click the link from your email and your account will be ready for use.

Setting Up You Profile

You account is active now and you are ready to start earning. Before proceeding, you need to update your profile information and complete a survey profile. The profile requires your background information such as education, employment and number of people in your household.

This is information that will be used to determine which surveys suit you. It is extremely important that you answer this information honestly so that your profile can be accurate and you can be matched with the correct surveys. There are quality monitoring systems that can detect inconsistencies. If the information you submit is inconsistent, it can get your account disabled.

Keep in mind that requirement for surveys is being 18 years old. There are survey requirements that fit people from all kinds of backgrounds, education and income levels, so there is no reason to not give accurate information.

How To Make Money on ySense

Earning Through Surveys

Once your survey profile is completed you will immediately receive survey offers that will how up in your queue and you are ready to start making money. Each survey will show the payment amount for completion and the estimated time to complete it.

ySense Surveys

You can choose any survey and it will be checked against your profile to see if you don’t qualify. If you don’t qualify for a survey, don’t worry. This is perfectly normal. The surveys have different requirements and because each has different requirements, different people will qualify for different surveys. ySense will ask you if you qualified for the survey. If not, that survey will be removed and be replaced by a new one in the list of offers.

Completing The Survey

When you qualify for a survey, you can complete it and when the survey is done you will get a congratulations’ message. Once this is done you have to click “Close this window”. It will take you back to the ySense dialogue which will ask you if you completed the survey. Click “yes” and the survey will be confirmed and the payment amount will be added to your pending payments.

Earning With Tasks

Tasks are simple instructions that you have to follow and then get paid for. The tasks are things such as copy and past work, marking objects using your mouse, or reading through text to find information. They are easy enough that a child can do them and do not need any specialized knowledge.

Figure Eight (Crowdflower)

The tasks on ySense are provided by Figure Eight (formerly known as CrowdFlower). To able to do these task you will have to register an account on Figure Eight. When you click on a task from ySense it will redirect to Figure Eight where you can automatically sign in to your account or sign up if you haven’t already. While it is possible to sign up to Figure Eight directly, it is better to do it through ySense as that way, the tasks that you complete on Figure Eight will count towards your bonuses in ySense, which you lose out on if signing up through Figure Eight directly.

How To Make More With Tasks

If you are a beginner on Figure Eight, you will be started on Level 0 and initially only see a few lowest paying tasks. This is because quality is important for the tasks and at first they send you low priority tasks as a sort of test. The first tasks that they give you will only pay $0.01 but as you do more tasks with the required accuracy rating, you will be unlocked for the different levels depending on the accuracy that you achieved and more tasks will be available to you that pay more. For level 1 you need to achieve 70% accuracy, for level 2 you need 80% and for level 3 you need 85%.

Unlimited Number Of Tasks Available

The benefit to tasks is that they do not have qualification requirements like surveys do so there are many of them available to do and they are available to everyone. The downside is that they pay less than surveys do but. If you keep up a good accuracy then you will always have tasks available to do.

Offers require you to do things such as signing up for things like trials, online shopping or to even play games. A lot of the offers are specific to your location. For example, you might need to enter a competition with one of the retail store chains in your country, or to sign up for a voucher. Some offers require you to make purchases so unless you are personally interested in the offers, you must look out for whether it might leave you with unwanted cost.

Can I use ySense From My Smart Phone?

ySense work can be done from your smart phone so if you have one you can do surveys and offers from anywhere. While some of the Figure Eight tasks can be done quicker on a laptop or desktop PC, there are some offers such as certain mobile apps and games that are specifically for being done on a smart phone. So if you have some downtime while waiting for your doctor’s appointment you can use ySense while you wait.

Daily Checklist Bonus

ySense has a daily checklist bonus that rewards you for your activity.

In order to complete the Daily Checklist you need to:

  1. Complete at least 10 Figure Eight Tasks; or
  2. Complete at least 2 offers or surveys from the offers and surveys pages; or
  3. Complete at least 5 Figure Eight Tasks and at least 1 offer or survey from the offers and surveys pages;

If you achieve this you will get a 12% bonus for that day. There are two additional bonuses of 2% each. One is for running the Clixaddon which notifies you of. For the other, if you achieve the daily checklist for three consecutive days you will get a 2% reward on the third day and every other day thereafter. This makes a total of 16% that you can earn in bonuses for being active on the platform.

Additionally, for every $50 that you earn on ySense, you will earn a $5 bonus.

The ySense Referral Program

ySense has a very generous affiliate program where you earn commission for people that you refer to the platform. This is by far the easiest way to make money. When you refer someone to ySense, you earn a signup bonus as well as a commission on the tasks that they complete. The commission percentage depends on which tier their country falls under.

Signup Commission

For every member that you refer you will receive a $0.1 commission. If the referral is from one of the Tier-1 countries, the commission is $0.3. Tier-1 countries include most of the developed countries in Europe and North America, as well as other countries like Brazil, South Africa, Venezuela, some South East Asian countries, and others.

Activity Commission

For every approved survey, task or offer that your referrals receive, you will receive a commission of 20% of what they earn. The commission can be increased all the way up to 30% if you have many referrals. As an example, if you have 10 referrals who each earn $10, they would each get paid their $10 and you earn $30 in commission. That is quite a generous commission and can make you a full time income if you dedicated yourself to referring active users.

Availability of tasks

The availability of work varies per location and per person but from my experience, there is enough work daily to make around $5 a day for 1-2 hours’ work, which was mainly from surveys. For this reason, I would suggest that if you want to do more tasks per day you should sign up to 1 or more other GPT websites. This way you can do 2 hours on 2 or 3 different sites and have enough work to keep you busy for several hours.

A Few Rules To Keep In Mind

Only one account is allowed per household. Anyone else that you stay with is not allowed to have a ySense account. If you are discovered to have contravened any of these rules, your account will be disabled. You also may not have more than once account or share your PC with another ySense member.
